How do I make suggestions to improve some of the more bothersome workflow impediments to building out a Crestron Home system in the Crestron Home Configurator within Portal? There are a few very annoying things such as the warning that pops up when changing the default button config on an HZ2 keypad, of which the engraving label cannot be changed unless a button config is pulled in. It seems like “Don’t show again” doesn’t seem to work until the realization that this warning is per keypad. I don’t think I need to describe how annoying this is to do in a house with over 100 keypads. Then after clearing the warning window, the configuration needs to be pulled in again forcing the programming to perform an action twice for every keypad. Aside from this, a mechanism to copy whole Keypad engravings from one keypad to another would be very helpful. Currently I keep a list of buttons in a spreadsheet to make this less cumbersome. Lastly, there should be a filter option so discontinued devices do not show up in the list, or are shaded a different color, as it’s very easy to select an HZ keypad instead of an HZ2. I certainly have more suggestions, but these are the ones I seem to trip over and disrupt an efficient workflow with unnecessary warnings, devices that are discontinued, and cumbersome action processes.
